Food Service for NJ Field Hospital

Since April 1st, In Thyme Catered Events has been serving over 1000 meals per week to frontline workers and patients at the newly created field hospital at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ. As one of the first facility conversions needed to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, many challenges had to be overcome to rapidly set up operations, provide meals and protect those who worked there. Singer is proud to have provided supplies and personal protective equipment to In Thyme in support of this initiative.

Epicurean Garage Finds a Way to Help Those In Need

Epicurean Garage, a Singer customer, raised $15,000 for the Chester County Food Bank. Together with Locust Lane Craft Brewery and generous private donors, they donated money for each takeout order received during the last two weekends.

A Need We Feed

Singer M. Tucker salesperson, Cliff Baker, and his non-profit organization, A Need We Feed, have been very busy the past two weeks. They’ve been supplying daily meals to homebound seniors, children, veterans and the homeless. They’re working with area restaurants, purchasing the meals at discounted prices, then distributing them to those in need.

Difficult times often bring out the best in us. Working with their Singer sales representative, Sally Harris, Farmhouse Coffee Bar in Downingtown donated gloves and paper products they received from us to their local hospital and charity organization in need. We’re all in this together.

Singer Employees Volunteer at United Way Big Cheese 5

A group of Singer Equipment Company employees participated in The Big Cheese 5, the largest United Way-driven meal packaging event in the Northeast. Volunteers from the United Way of Berks County prepared 250,000 mac and cheese dinners and 250,000 rice and bean dinners for the Greater Berks Food Bank!

Singer Donates to Construction of Safe Berks Playground

The company increased its United Way contribution by 16% in 2018, with a 10% increase in participation. Singer achieved United Way’s Gold Award (shared with employee groups achieving a per capita of $175 to $249.99) in recognition of its outstanding contributions.
