The Mission

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar has been growing since its launch in 2000 in Philadelphia. The Fort Lauderdale outpost is the company's newest, opened in 2021. The concept gives guests a "passport to Cuba's intriguing flavors and culture" through food, beverage, and entertainment.. Singer has partnered with Cuba Libre since the beginning, both for design and build as well as equipment and supplies. As the partnership has grown, the Singer team has grown more and more in tune with Cuba Libre's specific needs, while always remaining flexible to adapt with Cuba Libre to a changing industry.

Challenges

One challenge with a partner like Cuba Libre is ensuring brand consistency with each new location, while also creating unique properties that reflect their setting. Our longstanding partnership from the very beginning allows us the perspective to offer the same, tailored quality with each location we collaborate on. As usual, the key is communication - both being 100% transparent with Cuba Libre and also actively listening to their needs, both across the entire group and specific to each location.

Solution

The centerpiece of the kitchen is its top-of-the-line equipment, including a custom oven from Jade Range, Vulcan fryers and ranges, and a custom hood system from Captive Aire. Refrigeration includes walk-ins from Bally and reach-in and prep units from True. The equipment has been supplemented with stainless steel worktables, sinks, and custom accessories and storage from Advance Tabco and Perlick, as well as faucet fixtures from T&S Brass. Smallwares were chiefly sourced from Vollrath and CFS Brands. For the front of the house, our team curated an eclectic mix including contemporary, comfortable glassware from Cardinal and Libbey and plateware featuring a common rounded-rectangle theme from Steelite and Tuxton. Brushed flatware was sourced from Steelite, while bar and tabletop accessories came from American Metalcraft and TableCraft..
