The opening of Gatsby in Washington, D.C. began a reawakening in foodservice.

The newest concept from Knead Hospitality + Design, Gatsby, ushers in a new era of the American restaurant experience, capturing the fun and optimism of the roaring 1920s.

This trendsetting restaurant group partners with Singer to design and build their kitchens and bars.

“Singer is the perfect equipment partner. Their team of experts works closely with our team to design, build and supply all our kitchen and bar spaces for Knead Hospitality + Design, bringing our restaurant visions to reality,” says Jason Berry, Founder & Principal.

The stylish bar at Gatsby takes center stage. The team uses their well-thought out Krowne Metal bar equipment to create the classic cocktail menu. The AC Beverage draft system provides perfectly cold beer for patrons.

A carefully specified selection of prep stations from Continental and True refrigeration optimizes the kitchen workspace. The workhorse Pitco Frialator SG14-S, in stock at Singer today, provides everything operations needs for quick recovery.

A Southbend range and cheesemelter, and ovens from Blodgett and Rational, round out the deliberately designed space.

In the back of house, the kitchen team has all their storage needs met with Intermetro shelving.

Gatsby exemplifies the beauty and functionality that a partnership with Singer can create.
